BBQ Rib's

Sunday i decided it was Rib time the hubby loves Rib's and i always try and make him happy:) So one trip to Sams Club and 3 racks of baby backs later we were home !
I make a rub first
1/2 cup paprika
1/4 cup garlic powder
good amount of cracked pepper & Salt !
Rub into meat real good ! Then i top it brown sugar packed on top of the ribs! place Ribs in a baking dish with a little water at the bottom cover with foil and bake @ 350 for 2 1/2 hours.

Meanwhile start the BBQ sauce!
1 Stick of real Butter in a sautee pan on medium heat
12 Garlic cloves minced
1/2 cup Plum jelly
1/2 cup Honey
1 cup Apple juice
2 tsp Red chili powder
1 Tbsp Chili flakes
2 Tbsp Paprika
pepper to taste !
1 cup of store bought BBQ sauce
Keep on heat for at least 20 minutes or until thickened.

remove from oven and place on BBQ and add your BBQ sauce and cook for around 10 minutes your just making the crust on the ribs ! Then eat the meat will fall right off the bones.

Anniversary Sale !

I love costume jewelry so when at the mall i stop ed into for Love 21 and picked up a 5 new necklaces and some headbands earrings and new headphones that have the cutest crystals on them ! for my Ipod. Great deals in there

So here is my new bag for fall ! I want to use it now but iam hold off until sometime around fall. I know iam weird like that !! It is a Marciano By Guess ! I love that soft black leather with the gun metal studs on the top and the rocker chain and the size.... BIG i love big bags and this is big! And during the sale it was only 189.90 and after the sale it goes back to 295.00 My last bag was 4 times that price so the hubby was glad to see that i didn't get a 800.00 bag ! Although i would love another 800.00 dollar bag like my Louie bag ! Iam holding out for a timeless piece like a Nancy Gonzalez exotic bag !! Some day !

So last Friday i headed out to Nordstrom for the Anniversary Sale !! and yes it was a zoo so i pre-sale what i wanted so i can go in and have what i want already waiting for me ! Browsed around then went back on Friday with the hubby and Reese and my daughter Britt ! But that's another post!

Ahh a day of Pampering ....

My face and feet are in need of some pampering so this is how i will spend a few hours some home facials and a good soak for my feet ! The summer weather is so hard on our face and feet and not to mention the hair i should throw a conditioner pak in it today! From all the swimming my skin can become really dry so we must moisturize and rehydrate and spend a little time on our selves ;) So i will blog later today stay cool.

Aww just another day in the life of me!

Well it started off by cleaning the pool the cleaning up all the pool crap ! and playing with my lovely dog's Savannah and Juicy quickly moved on to Laundry and oh ya in between that i made breakfast for the kiddies did some dish's, made the bed, picked up all the bathtub toys that someone forgot to pick up (hubby) after the kids got out of the bath last night and now i am on the dusting the furniture then of course i will need to do my floors pull something out for dinner clean my back slider windows think of something wonderful for lunch tomorrow my cousin is coming over for lunch and swimming with the kids and well doing all that go figure i still have time to blog (lol) Wait i forgot i am sewing sometime today too i am making some really cute retro aprons and i just might bake a cupcake too!! Wait now let me throw lunch for the kids in there too and a few snacks. The joys of being a stay at home mom !

Elizabeth Taylor

So this weekend i stopped by Borders i can spend hours in there but no i only was there 45 minutes my hubby and 5 year old were with me me so i couldn't spend to much time in all the sections i love to cruise but i did find this Elizabeth Taylor book by J.Randy Taraborrelli and i picked up L.A.Candy By Lauren Conrad I'll post about that later! but for now it's all about Liz!

This is another book i will be on the hunt for Elizabeth Taylor: My Love Affair with Jewelry ! her are some clips from the book that i cant wait to get my hands on ! i simply love old Hollywood and the great actor and actress of that time and there story's. And i have my own love affair with jewelry and i Am lucky enough to be married to a wonderful husband who loves to give me jewelry for Mother's Day, Valentines Day, My Birthday and our Anniversary so over the past few years or so i got a real good collection going. But nothing like this ! Oh to dream so for now i will truly admire her collection !

Graham Cracker Chocolate tri~fold

Seriously this is so easy and yummy !can be made a head of time i always make the day before any event or party and i have also made in individual containers for a sit down dinner dessert !

1 st of all you need

1 Box of Graham crackers~ crushed and the add 1 stick of real butter melted mix well

2 large boxes of Chocolate pudding mix and make as per box directions i always get instant
much faster and easier.

2 tubs of cool whip !

And layer graham on bottom and so on ! Chill before serving and you can also put chocolate shaving on top !

Crunchy Chicken Salad Sandwiches

These yummy sandwiches were so good i made the yesterday dinner after a nice day of swimming with the family !

pretty simple and easy, you can make this a head of time.

For 8

2 lbs of grilled chicken chopped in to chunks

1 cup of chopped Scallions

1 cup of chopped celery

1/2 cup of mayo

1 1/2 cup of red seedless grapes cut into half

8 to 10 ounces of Provolone cheese cut into cubes
1/2 cup crushed Almonds
salt & pepper to taste and i made on 100% whole wheat bread !

Got to love the days of summer when you can get away with a light easy dinner :)
