Paula Deen's Layered Cranberry Sauce

 

 

 

 

Ingredients

  • 1 8-ounce package cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans, plus more for topping (optional)
  • 1 16-ounce can jellied cranberry sauce

Directions

Beat the cream cheese and mayonnaise in a bowl with a mixer until creamy (it should be spreadable). Beat in the pecans.

Put the cranberry sauce in a bowl and mash with the back of a fork.

Spread about half of the mashed cranberry sauce in the bottom of a bowl or parfait dish. Spread the cream cheese mixture on top of the cranberry sauce, then gently cover with the remaining cranberry sauce. Top with more pecans, if desired

Cream Peas

This is a family recipe that's been around forever i make it only on Thanksgiving and thought i'd share with you all enjoy !
3 Cans peas
1 can of evaporated milk
Wonder flour in a can
1/2 stick of butter
Salt & Pepper

in a sauce pan heat butter add alittle milk at a time when warm start adding the flour and wisking the whole time adding more milk ( you do end up almost using the whole can ) and flour you want it to be like a thick soup but not to thick add salt & pepper to taste when all done add drained cans of peas

A Thanksgiving find !

So the other day i was out and about doing alittle shopping and i found these really cute charger plates for my Thanksgiving table. Every year i like to change up the look of my table since i host Thanksgiving it's a big deal to me. I still need to find new napkins & napkin rings and a creative idea for some centerpieces so if anybody has some they would like to share let me know ! Thanks 
Oh ya here are a few things i picked up my little ones while at Target can you tell it"s Halloween in my house (lol)

Apple picking

So on Sunday we headed to Yucaipa to a little town called Oak Glen to go apple picking and i found this one orchard Los Rios Rancho where u can pick your own so i thought why not the kids will have a great time and they did !
My dirty boots ! So glad i wore them tho there was big red ants and dirt everywhere ugh !
And after a morning of apple picking we headed into town for some shopping & lunch !

So here are our pickings we picked around 25 lbs of apples for $30.00 these are all organic apples they also have pumpkins & u pick raspberries too ! The kids had a great time up in the mountains for the day and now i get to make applesauce & apple pies too !
