




6 hours in a crock~pot
3 pounds of boneless pork shoulder~ salt & pepper
2 Tbl Veg oil
4 Cups Chicken broth
1 Cup Soy sauce
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 Tbl toasted sesame oil
1 Tsp red pepper flakes
2 tsp star anise
1 cinnamon stick
5 garlic cloves crushed
1 2 inch piece ginger peeled and diced
8 whole dired Shiitake Mushrooms
1 pound of soba noodles
1/2 cup water Chestnuts sliced
2 red chile sliced and seeded
2 green onions sliced for garnish
1/4 cup cilantro for garnish
1st Season the pork with salt & pepper heat a skillet with the Veg oil over medium~ heat brown pork on both sides 6 to 8 minute total then transfer to a plate.
2 make broth Soy sauce,brown sugar,sesame oil,red pepper flakes,anise and cinnamon stick you can do all of this in a sauce pan that you will transfer to the crock pot when done about 10 minutes
the add mushroom, ginger and garlic to crock pot
add meat to crock pot too !
cook about 4 hours on high then the last 2 hours on low
Right before you eat make noodles
You really eat like a queen. And cook like a goddess!
