Tempt my Tummy Tuesday !

Homemade Meatballs !! This recipe is from a bobby flay Throwdown i added more garlic and a few other things to make it mine !! But these will be the best meatballs you have ever tasted :)

Makes 8 to 10 servings i always double mine i have a big family !
For Meatballs
1 lb ground chuck
4 ounces dried breadcrumbs
4 large eggs
4 ounces whole milk
6 ounces romano cheese, grated
1/2 onion, grated or minced
6 garlic cloves, minced
2 ounces fresh Italian parsley
2 ounces fresh basil, chopped
salt and pepper

Ok first Preheat oven to 350 degrees f. Mix together all meatball ingredients. If mixture seems too loose, add more breadcrumbs. (Mixture will be very moist.).
2 Spray a baking sheet with olive oil cooking spray.

3 Roll meatballs into golfball sized balls.

4 Bake for 35-40 minutes.

While meatballs are baking,
MAKE Your sauce

6 ounces good olive oil, not extra-virgin
18 cloves garlic, finely sliced
1 large or 2 medium Spanish onions, finely diced
3 (28-ounce) cans imported crushed tomatoes
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon white or black pepper
1 large handful julienned fresh basil leaves
Cook for about 30 minutes or longer

  2. They look so YUMMY! Homemade meatballs are my son's favorite:)I use plain parsley:) I don't add cheese. I'll try next time with romano cheese:)Thanks for being a fan on FB.
