Confused !! Which Camera to choose ?

Well Mother's Day is coming up and my family has some what smartened up about gifts to get me !! They don't always let me know what iam getting but now they seem to always ask and make sure it's something i really want and i so appreciate it there effort :) So here's the deal my Hubby said that i can get a new camera that i have been wanting for over a year now and the reason i haven't got it yet was that my other camera is only 2 1/2 years old (lol) i know what your thinking the one i have is still fairly new i know but i would love a faster one !! So now i have to decide which one. i didn't know there is so many details and this time i want to be more informed on what iam buying.

The Nikon D40 which has the 6.1 Mega pixels up to 2.5 frames per second and 2.5 LCD screen $449.95 @ Samy's camera and i can buy a second lens for only $ 99.95



The Canon EOS Rebel XSi 12 mega pixels, 3" LCD 3.5 frames per second $ 879.97 but this includes a extra Telephoto Lens 55-250 & bag !

So not really sure what i want to do basically more money more camera ! So tonight iam going to look at them and check it out !
