I Cant wait ! Ive heard so much about Dean & DeLuca the gourmet grocery store back east but now southern California gets one too! There is one up north but now this one will be around 20 minutes away !! I am so excited, i know its a little ridiculous to so excited about a grocery store but look at theses pic of this fabulous place and all the wonderful food and products. 
All the wonderful breads baked fresh daily ! Yummy
Gourmet grocer Dean & DeLuca will open its first Southern California store at Fashion Island in Newport Beach.
The 23,000 square-foot store is scheduled to open in fall 2009. It's roughly the size of the former Whole Foods on Holt Avenue in Tustin. That neighborhood store moved last month to a larger location at The District at the Tustin Legacy shopping center.
Dean & DeLuca will offer prepared foods, fresh produce, artisan cheeses, specialty meats, fresh seafood, espresso and pastries. It also will have what the company calls an "extensive wine department specializing in hard-to-find, small production wines." The grocer will offer a cafe and wine bar with indoor and outdoor seating.
The local Dean & DeLuca will be about a mile away from another gourmet grocer, Bristol Farms, which also is in Newport Beach.
